2011 Recap

Lokahi was proud to have worked on some very exciting projects during the 2011 outreach season!

Women for Women International provides women survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies. We were very excited to take Women for Women to Bonnaroo with us last year, where we had the opportunity to engage and inspire thousands of fans.

We are proud to have gone back out on the road with Brad Paisley and the Water = Hope campaign as well! Visit the Water = Hope website to learn more about this project!

Arcade Fire was back out on the road as well, in the US and Europe at big music festivals, spreading the word about Haiti, Partners in Health and Kanpe.

We also helped out our friends at Dispatch with their summer Amplifying Education program. Check out the Amplifying Education website.

2010 Recap

2010 was a big year for Lokahi, working with Hope Through Healing Hands on the Water = Hope campaign, out on the tour with country artist Brad Paisley, where we talked to lots and lots of fans about clean water issues.

We also worked with our friends at Reverb, partnering with Arcade Fire on their tour this summer, building support for Partners in Health, and Kanpe, two amazing organizations working on global health issues, and helping Haiti rebuild.

All in all, our teams talked to and engaged over 30,000 fans over the year, building support for global health and clean water initiatives. We also raised over $80,000, money that will go to build wells and help Haiti. Best of all? Working with the 574 volunteers that joined us in 2010 - we can't thank you all enough for your help, and hope that you'll be continuing this important work in your communities this winter and spring!
